The Time Hunter is a mysterious Hunter who shows some interest in the young Anna Smirnova. Her intentions are unknown, but she seems to harbor no ill intent. She keeps mostly to herself and out of sight, but occasionally she will seek out Yelena and Anna to dispel her usual tidings of vagueness and omnious forebodings, and every resolved mystery results in even more questions.
Theories
The Time Hunter is:
- A Guardian from the future accidentally shunted into our timeline by a Vex experiment.
- A Guardian from the future accidentally shunted into our timeline by scientists conducting experiments on Vex technology.
- A Guardian from an alternate timeline shunted into ours by accident during a conflict with the Vex.
- A Guardian from the future deliberately shunted into our timeline by scientists conducting experiments on Vex technology.
- A figment of Anna's and Yelena's imagination; a mass-hallucination shared by the two companions.
Trivia
- Her voice is deep and distorted by flanging, making it hard to gleam any clues to her identity.
- She carries a rifle of unknown make, and her cuirass seems to be from a similar source.
- She seems to have no Ghost companion, yet sometimes she converses with thin air as if she had one.
